Apprehension, stemming from the language barrier and cultural ignorance, always exists between two culturally distinct groups and can often cause tension which adversely affects the stability and fluidity of the workforce. The positive aspects of this phenomenon are many. We receive a very willing and loyal group of people who take their jobs very seriously.

However, we are now faced with new challenges: the challenge of understanding them, communicating with them, and integrating them into our workforces. Unless we are willing to face these challenges, we might never be able to tap into the fullest potential of our hispanic employees.
